This is a set of 35 short math problems that can be used in different ways, like as a warm up to the math lesson or as morning work. You could even use them as a quick review.
The problems are in two formats: a full page to display for the whole class and then a page that has the same problem 6 times. I copy this page and then cut them out. The kids glue the smaller problem in their math notebook so we can keep track of their work.
Table of Contents:
Addition: Sums to 20– Page 4
Subtraction: Numbers Less Than 20 – Page 15
Addition: Double-Digit – Page 26
Subtraction: Double-Digit – Page 37
“How Many More” Problems – Page 48
Multi-Step Problems – Page 59
Addition: String of Numbers – Page 70
This set of problems is designed to be repetitive in order to give students more opportunities to solve the same type of problems. For example, there are 5 problems that all focus on double-digit addition.
Please check out the preview to see an example of each type of problem. This has been designed for second graders, but could also be used with first and third graders.
