Ever wonder how you can get your students to utilize full participation and collaboration in not only literacy, but in other subjects as well? This document incorporates three different roles students within a cooperative math activity are responsible for completing. Print this document out onto Avery 5160 labels and give each student a math role that states simple clear responsibilities right on the label. Students can stick these sticky labels on their shirt or onto the worksheet being used during the math activity. Students enjoy having a responsibility, and it also enhances participation among all students, even those who tend to sit back, because the group is now dependent on each member's responsibility. For those of you who teach science, check out my science circle roles as well!
