Product Description
Clowning Around - 10 Math tasks (K-1)

I have added a complete file that has less color - the zipped file contains the full color and less color version.

This pack will help consolidate early number and also extend those children who need to be extended. I have changed up the ten frames and I am suggesting that they be used vertically. This will help with place and adding beyond ten.
152 pages in full color + 151 pages in a less color version

You may decide to copy some of the tasks two pages onto one page. For example this will make the ten frames a quarter of a page each, still big enough for small groups to use.

Ten Frames- vertical versions
Use these as flash cards to work on ‘trust the count’ and ‘Subitise’
Use to make and record number stories 9 = 5+4, 5 = 3+2
These cards are vertical to help prepare for place value and adding to ten 10 + 7 = 17

How many clowns needed to fit into the car?
Sequence the clowns in order of the numbers. Then put the number of clowns to match.

Which clown has more balloons?
Set one is 0-20 and Set Two is 0-100
Place the balloons in the correct place to show which is more/less

Missing Clown
Place the missing clown in the correct spot

How many clowns?
Work out how many clowns? Display around the room. Read the equations and use the clowns like a number line. Record your answer on the answer sheet

Place the cards in a pile and take one at a time. Work out the answer, you may need to use counters to support some children. Record your answers on the answer sheet

Time for the show
One set is o’clock, One set is half past. Spread them out and match the correct labels.
