Math Common Core Review with Magic Squares Level 2 is a cool math game which allows students to review and practice Math Common Core skills as they work to create each Magic Square.
The strategy for each puzzle is the same - cut out the 16 mixed-up smaller squares and reassemble them into a large 4 by 4 square so that all of the touching sides match. The original Math Common Core Review with Magic Squares had all of the edges of the finished Magic Square blank. Level 2 is more challenging because only the top and the bottom edges of the finished Magic Square are blank.
Great for early finishers or for use as a math center, the puzzles include a wide variety of topics:
~expanded numerals / standard numerals
~computation practice for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
~adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators
~adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators
~equivalent fractions and decimals
While made with 4th graders in mind, Math Common Core Review can be appropriate for students in 2nd through 6th grade.
