Math Constructed Response Practice w/ Digital
Do your students struggle thinking about their math and then putting those thoughts into words? Are your students not used to writing about math? Or do you just need a way to give your students practice with answering constructed response math questions?
If you answered yes to any of those, this math constructed response resource is a great (and targeted) way to help your students explain their math thinking with a variety of math skills…all the skills you’ve taught this year!
This resource includes 36 constructed response quick checks: one per standard (including each substandard) for the 5th Grade Common Core Math Standards.
The quick checks are one page with one problem per page.
They are time-efficient assessments that will quickly let you assess your students on a skill in a meaningful way aligned to state assessments.
Each task requires the student to show all of their work and provide a written explanation.
Some of the tasks (depending on the standard) also require the students to support their answers with models.
Many of the problems are multi-step, depending on the standard.
The digital version includes the exact same content as the printable but has been redesigned to work optimally in Google Slides on a variety of devices.
For more information about the digital version and for access links, see pages 4-6 of the PDF.
Answer keys with answers and what should be included in the student work and explanation are included. Answer keys are available ONLY in the printable version but can be used to check both printable and digital versions.
