In this 90 minute lesson students will work on their techniques to convert a repeating decimal to a fraction. There are four worksheets, with answer keys, provided as well as an exit ticket and warm up for the class. The lesson plan also contains a link to a website describing the technique if a refresher is needed.

Know that numbers that are not rational are called irrational. Understand informally that every number has a decimal expansion; for rational numbers show that the decimal expansion repeats eventually, and convert a decimal expansion which repeats eventually into a rational number.
