The purpose of the Daily Math CraZe Number Challenge page is to provide students with an engaging way to review, practice and master Number concepts.
Each page has tasks that ask the student to demonstrate their understanding of Number. The Math Craze Daily Number Challenge pages keep the same format throughout to encourage mastery and independence of these skills. The package contains a myriad of activities and templates to support your students' learning in an engaging way.
Some of the number skills that your students will cover, using these pages, are place value, expanded notation, word form, arrays, prime or composite, multiples, factors, drawing the number pictorially, identifying numbers as odd or even. The pages also provide a way to address differentiation in the classroom as each student can work on a page at their level. This can be used as your Number Unit or included in your emergency plans for the substitute teacher.
These activities have been used as a center (copies of all the pages in individual folders places in a magazine folder, jar of dice, colored crayons, glue and scissors ), with large group, small group of students, seat work, morning work, daily warm up or homework.
My Gifted, Literacy and regular students LOVE working on these pages and colleagues have used the pages successfully for differentiation in their classrooms.
