Give your 4th grade students their own interactive notebook math reference dictionary that they help create. Students add the picture for each definition provided. This Interactive Notebook folded pattern bundled set gives you 280 math vocabulary words and definitions that fourth graders need to know.

If you need more, just add your own words with the editable PowerPoint set included.

This set Includes all 5 of these 4th Grade Interactive Notebook Math Flap Books:

    Operations & Algebraic Thinking

    Number & Operations – Fractions

Number & Operations in Base Ten

    Measurement & Data

Full Year Bundled Set of All 5 Math Domains (priced to save you $ - like you get one set free)

Included are all of the 280 math vocabulary words with definitions that 4th graders need to know.

The words organized into the five domains of Common Core BUT the set is NOT TAGGED or labeled as Common Core so teachers in non-Common Core states can use this set to teach the crucial math vocabulary.

Words are alphabetized within each domain to make finding vocabulary words easier for students in their dictionary of terms.

In addition to the window flaps, this set includes every definition that will be glued underneath the window flap. The window flaps are designed to save students time cutting and assembling and more time thinking about math. Also included is a card for students to write or draw an example of the word. Differentiate by not using the definitions included and have students write their own meanings. It's YOUR choice!

The set is packed with math content and is designed to save paper. There are six vocabulary words per sheet of paper. Vocabulary words are organized into these topics: Operations & Algebraic Thinking, Number & Operations in Base Ten, Number & Operations - Fractions, Measurement and Data, and Geometry.

A table of contents for each topic is included in alphabetical order.

The set is color coded and includes all notebook covers in both color and black and white. These can be used in composition books, spirals, or 3-ring binders. A blank window flap template and definition card template is included in PDF format in case you want to add more to your set.

This will become your students' most valuable tool to learn math vocabulary. They will refer to this when they need to remember word meanings.

Compare two decimals to hundredths by reasoning about their size. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two decimals refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, or <, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual model.
Use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100. For example, rewrite 0.62 as 62/100; describe a length as 0.62 meters; locate 0.62 on a number line diagram.
Express a fraction with denominator 10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100, and use this technique to add two fractions with respective denominators 10 and 100. For example, express 3/10 as 30/100, and add 3/10 + 4/100 = 34/100.
Recognize a line of symmetry for a two-dimensional figure as a line across the figure such that the figure can be folded along the line into matching parts. Identify line-symmetric figures and draw lines of symmetry.
Classify two-dimensional figures based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size. Recognize right triangles as a category, and identify right triangles.
