Every year, my first grade team does a math egg hunt. We ask each child to bring 12 plastic eggs in an egg carton. We stuff the eggs with math problems/ facts and after they collect the eggs at the hunt (they fill their egg carton!), we come inside and have them solve the problems/facts inside their eggs. It is a great way to get them moving and reviewing all that we have learned in math.
This pack includes 270 different math problems or facts that align with first grade common core. I have addressed each OA and NBT standard, as well as the following standards from measurement and geometry: 1.G.1, 1.G.3, and 1.MD.3. All you have to do is print, cut, fold, and stuff them in the eggs! This will be an experience your students love and remember, while addressing the common core! :)
