This is a test review Powerpoint presentation that I created for Unit 1 of Math Expressions, grade 1. It covers review of shape patterns, number recognition and sense, and identifying odd or even numbers.
HOW TO PLAY: I have my class play by table groups with one white board, marker and eraser to share per table group.
Once you open the Powerpoint presentation and hit "View Slideshow", you have to click through the introduction to get the full table of contents to pop up (including music!). You can get to individual slides by clicking on whichever category and points are listed (Addition for 200, Word Problems for 400, etc). Once you click on the link, the slide with the question will appear. You can click on THAT slide to show the answer. To get back to the main screen, click on the Jeopardy Man in the bottom corner.
Before I get started with the kiddos, I explain the rules: I choose the first category (for example, "Addition for 200"), and from then on whichever table group can both answer the question correctly on their white board AND explain it verbally before any other group not only wins the points from that category (for example, if Red table group got the answer to Addition for 200 correct, they get 200 points, or 2 points, you can change it based on the needs of your students) but gets to choose the next category.
This is a great game to play if you only have 20 minutes or so to review, OR, time permitting, you can play until all of the categories and points are answered. Whoever has the most points by the end of the game wins!
I would make sure that, when you download this file, CHECK THE FORMATTING!! I used Hello Fonts (which you can find here: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Hello-Fonts-Personal-Non-Commercial-Use-301730), so they should pop up if you download them. If you choose not to, you might need to resize some text boxes :)
This is my very first TeachersPayTeachers product. While I use this in my classroom all the time, PLEASE let me know if you have any questions or would like clarification on how to play, the rules, etc. I'd love to help and share!
