Have you ever played around the world? This is a new improved version of around the world with awesome brain breaks! This activity is ___+1 to a sum of 10. It is a great way to teach students their fact fluency while having fun and feeling the adrenalin rush while competing with other students! My students beg me to play this game and go home and tell their parents about it!
How to play:
Choose to partners to start.
Have the partners close their eyes and open them when you flash the word or problem on the screen. (there are phonics activities too, visit my store!)
The person to correctly answer the problem first gets to go on to the next person in line.
Continue until you come to a brain break!
Then, the person who makes it back to his or her starting point is the winner!
Some of the brain breaks include:
hopping around the room
clapping your hands and walking around the room
touching your toes and walking around the room
