We all know how critical math facts are, yet we often struggle with a good system. This system is designed to be used as a self-paced intervention to allow students to learn smaller chunks of multiplication facts at a time. Typically, we teach have students master all of their 1s, followed by their 2s, and so on. However, this approach allows students to learn HALF of their math facts using the commutative property of multiplication.
This program could also be used in lower grades for students who are ready for multiplication before their peers or as a classroom system to allow initial mastery of facts.
