    Description

This system is a foolproof system for helping students develop fact fluency in addition and subtraction and multiplication and division. It is research-based, and developed based on how the brain learns.

Why use Math Fact Fluency: The Bundle? Brain Research tells us that adding an element of fun increases learning. Brain Research also tells us that making connections to prior knowledge helps students remember information. It also teaches us that brains remember best using color, movement, and visuals. Plus, it is recommended that students learn basic math facts by fact families. This system has all that, and a whole lot more!

How it works: Since it's overwhelming for children to learn all 200 addition and subtraction facts and 200 multiplication and division facts at once, this resource has all facts, split into 16 different levels. The levels are sorted into patterns and fact families. (8 for addition and subtraction, and 8 for multiplication and division.)

What’s included: This resource has color-coded practice cards for all 16 levels, assessments for each level, assessments, brain breaks, ideas and suggestions for use, and a game. Since all the levels work the same way, it's easy for a teacher to differentiate with a variety of students! This system also includes 20 sets of BOOM Learning Digital Task cards, which coordinate with these 16 different patterns of study. Plus, there are four extra review levels! See these links for more information:

Brain-Friendly Addition and Subtraction BOOM Cards (The BUNDLE) and Brain-Friendly Multiplication and Division BOOM Cards (The BUNDLE).

    Apply properties of operations as strategies to multiply and divide. Examples: If 6 × 4 = 24 is known, then 4 × 6 = 24 is also known. (Commutative property of multiplication.) 3 × 5 × 2 can be found by 3 × 5 = 15, then 15 × 2 = 30, or by 5 × 2 = 10, then 3 × 10 = 30. (Associative property of multiplication.) Knowing that 8 × 5 = 40 and 8 × 2 = 16, one can find 8 × 7 as 8 × (5 + 2) = (8 × 5) + (8 × 2) = 40 + 16 = 56. (Distributive property.)
Understand division as an unknown-factor problem. For example, find 32 ÷ 8 by finding the number that makes 32 when multiplied by 8.
Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
