The activities in this packet is all you need if your students need more fact strategy focus of adding and subtracting 2. I created these activities for my own first graders because the math fact data from grades 2-5 are not at the level we expect them to be. I created a whole math fact program for first grade and the +2 and - 2 strategy focus is only one of 7 that I have created. I have the +5 and -5 fact strategy posted in my TpT store and I am working hard to fine tune the other 5 strategies.
Included in this packet:
*A week long lesson plan outline that includes homework activities
*Skip counting cards by 2's both even and odd in a neutral school theme so they can be used all school year.
*An addition snowman fact sort with a variety of different representation of number sentences. I also included a separate subtraction fact sort also with different representation of number sentences.
*A number line to help struggling students have a visual aide to help struggling students see the number pattern of counting by twos.
*Roll, Say, Keep game using both addition and subtraction facts
*I created the game Wipeout that you use with the roll, say, keep cards.
*Math Fact assessment that can be used as a progress monitoring tool. Also included is an assessment key that helps pinpoint their fact knowledge.
*Progress monitoring chart for record keeping of skip counting, + 2, and - 2 facts.
