Product Description
Which one does not belong? Task Cards BUNDLE with critical thinking - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts

Practice math facts in a FUN and challenging way!

This bundle includes the following:
Which Does Not Belong - addition facts
Which Does Not Belong - division facts
Which Does Not Belong - mixed facts
Which Does Not Belong - multiplication facts
Which Does Not Belong - subtraction facts

Do you remember the Sesame Street song, "Which one of these is not like the others?" These task cards ask the same question...which one does not belong? It forces you to think about what things have in common...which leads to thinking about the one that that doesn't belong with the others. It's a perfect strategy for children!

There are 32 task cards included in EACH set, with each card having 4 addition facts that students need to know to answer the question. In order to answer the question, you have to know and understand the content. You also have to use inductive reasoning and critical thinking in order to correctly answer the question.

There is a full set in color and a full set in black and white.

I have my students justify their answer and explain why their answer does not belong, which shows how well they understand.

You can use these task cards in SCOOT, math stations, or with game boards like these game boards.

An example problem is:
Which one does not belong?
5 + 5
3 + 7
8 + 1
4 + 6

8 + 1 does not belong because it adds up to 9 while the other 3 facts add up to 10

I sometimes put a card under the document camera and let them answer the question on their white boards. They absolutely love it and beg me not to stop!
