Thank you for looking at this this fun and easy math facts “stick” center. Math sticks are so simple and fun to do. Students pick a stick, find it on their recording sheet, use the strategies they have learned to add and then record on their sheet. This is for Addition within 20.
You can also use the recording sheets for timed addition fact practice.

In this packet there are two choices to make the center sticks. You can choose circle or square. You can also use the cards for other purposes such as making addition fact rings. Cut out the circles or squares and attach to popcicle sticks with glue or tape. You can mix the addition facts if you want or if you are practicing just adding 1 or just adding 2, you can organize it that way as well. Students pick a stick, find it on their recording sheet and write the answer.
Recording Sheets- There are recording sheets for each fact up to 10. You can cut these recording strips and place multiple in the center so students can use. You can use these strips for timed quizzes in terms of the addition facts. There is a blank recording sheet. Use this sheet if you decide to mix the addition facts.
