### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Research shows that students who develop a strong number sense in kindergarten and first grade go on to become more proficient in mathematics in the secondary grades. These cards are designed to promote the kind of practice that allows students to build their understanding of numbers, leading to fluency and flexibility in their mathematical thinking.

In this set, you will find nine different sets of cards. These include ten frames cards, subitizing dot cards, cards targeting understanding of base ten/place value concepts, number words and numerals, and cards that help students visualize the composition of the numbers 1-10.

This set includes:
0-30 Base Ten Numeral/Number Word FlashcardsThese are particularly helpful for helping students understand teen numbers. Each card has a numeral, images of the corresponding number of base ten blocks, and a number word.

Subitizing Dot Cards
Three Sets with Various Formations of 1-10 DotsThese are great for establishing number sense! Hold up a card and have students match the quantity with their fingers and/or say the number aloud.

Number Word Cards

Simple Ten Frames
These cards have 1-10 dots in a ten frame in the standard configuration.

Number Composition Ten Frames
These ten frames show various combinations of red and blue dots making the numbers 1-10.

Two-Hand Ten Frames
Have the children match the card with their fingers (one side for each hand). To extend this activity, have the students state a number combination and total. For example, “three, two, five,” or, “three plus two equals five.”

Double Ten Frame Cards
Ten frames for practicing the numbers 11-20

Two-Sided Teen Number Cards
Fold these cards in half in to make two-sided flashcard. These cards help children see teen numbers as a group of ten with some extra ones. They also help children see the connection between the concrete model with dots and the more abstract numerical expression.

Cut-Apart Numeral Cards (0-20)
These are great for student use and for home practice.
