Mining for Multiplication Game Directions

The game can be played as a center game with partners, or in a small group.

1. Each player draws a factor card and spins the spinner to find his/her second factor. Both players record their own problem on a paper or white board.

2. Both players solve their own problem.

3. When both partners have finished, trade papers or white boards and check each other’s work.

4. Each player who has a correct product keeps his or her card.  If a player’s product is not correct, the player returns his or her card to the bottom of the pile.
