A wonderful lesson to extend and refine students' higher level thinking skills. In this activity, students are asked to "grade" another student's completed test. They must find out what the student did wrong, correct it, and explain what mistake they made. The ability to explain why an answer is incorrect and what must be done to correct it demonstrates a much deeper level of understanding than simply answering questions and the format is fun and different for the students. They can work on this independently, with a partner, or in a group. Makes a fun alternative assessment. Students demonstrate their comprehension of mathematical concepts while having fun "grading someone else's paper" and "fixing someone else's mistakes."
This product includes the "test" with incorrect answers, and an answer key. The questions on the test cover money skills, ratios, percentages, radius, square-feet, measurement, and rate.
This product is available to download individually or as part of a larger download of math games covering whole numbers, order of operations, least common multiple, fractions, decimals, percents, geometry, measurement, algebra, data analysis, and more.
