This pack uses the mathematical concept of coordinate graphing in a game format.
The purpose of the activity is to practice locating and marking spaces on the rectangular graph grid.
Your students will help the monkeys eat up all the bananas!
The processes of the game involve each player:
spinning coordinates; locating the plotted space by running their finger along the uppercase letters at the bottom of the graph from left to right – to the first coordinate, and then going up to the row of the second coordinate; marking the space by writing the coordinates, e.g., A2, inside the rectangle; taking turns; being the first to fill their grid / fill four spaces in a row, column, or diagonal. Each player has their own game sheet – the sheets can be all the same or different for each player.
The game sheets can be laminated for ongoing use. The students mark the grid spaces with a dry erase marker.
There are 13 game sheets included in the pack.
*The KG Primary Penmanship font has been used for the lettering on the graphs.
