This graphic organizer can help students analyze math problems, think critically, and communicate in mathematical terms. Each area of the organizer will help students think about the problem. Students will first write the problem, inside the middle rectangle, and then write down all important information and prior knowledge in the "What I know" square. This helps students connect old and new learning as in a KWL chart in language arts. The last column requires students to explain how they came to an answer which helps solidify their ability to think logically and mathematically.
