When to Use
Beginning of the school year: This evaluation should definitely be used at the beginning of the year to understand your students’ mathematical mindset.
Middle of the school year: How are your students changing? Do more of your students have a growth mindset? What can you do to help those that are stuck with a fixed mindset?
End of the school year: Using them at the end of the school year would be good to have as a reference. How much did your students’ mindset change during their time in your class? Were you able to foster a growth mindset? Do you need to make some change for next school year?
