These are GENERAL Math Interactive Notebook rubrics. They are simple and only focus on 3 areas: Content, Specifications (directions), and Conventions. Not only are they NOT task specific, they are also not grade level specific as expectations will vary from grade level to grade level. It would be important to include a copy of the directions with a graded rubric so that parent would know specific expectations.
There are two general rubrics: One focuses on the entire IN. The second rubric allows a teacher to evaluate only a SECTION of an IN.
They also include a grade scale to change the "rubric score" into a grade.
The purpose in using a general rubric vs a task specific rubric is to be able to use it year after year no matter how little or much directions may change. Also, a general rubric is good school-wide or grade-level wide use as expectations may change from teacher to teacher and grade level to grade level.
