Description

If you are looking for activities for your students that need more focused lessons that are number sense building activities then this is the packet for you. I have tried each and every lesson plan in this activity and have seen amazing results with my English Language Learners, Special Education, and ADHD students. My goal is to make sure ALL my students are engaged and with these activities 100% of my 20 students were engaged for every activity.

I created this product as part of our "Target Time" portion of the school day. This is a 30 minute intervention/enrichment time aimed at giving students exactly what they need at their academic level. This product is aimed at students that just need a little more number sense focus to be successful in mathematics, struggling second graders, or kindergarten students that are ready for first grade Common Core.

ALL YOU NEED ARE NUMBER TILES AND 6 SIDED DICE AND ANY OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED ARE PROVIDED!! My goal is to make sure the prep is easy, yet effective to teach the concepts.

Included in this product:

-Lesson plans for EVERY activity that included: a warm up, the activity, an extra activity, and an area note what students were struggling with to help with progress monitoring.

-Skip counting by 10's to and from 100 along with the skip counting cards
-Skip counting by 5's to and from 100 along with skip counting cards
-Greater than/Less than 50 using number tiles
-Make 10 activity and recording sheets
-What is Next?- Working on number after to build math fact strategies of + 1
-I wish I had 5 match game (working on making 5)

-Counting by 1's cards from 99-120 to help students understand that skip counting goes beyond 100 and what those numbers look like.
-Place Value cards and recording sheet to practice building numbers over 100 and then looking at them in expanded form. I have three different recording sheets to meet the needs of all your students.
-Number Before? Working on number before/counting back which helps build math fact strategies for subtraction.
-Skip counting by 5's above 100 along with recording sheets and a fill in the blank vertical and horizontal 100 chart.
-Math Journal/Problem Solving- building the basic understanding by illustrating number sentences and then have a choice of a variety of problems and journal templates to fit your needs.
-Another making 10 game where students see the cards and then choose two or three to make 10. Recording sheet included.
-Task cards to build fluency in number. Timing themselves for a minute while counting, quantity discrimination, number ID, and missing number with goals listed for added motivation.
-Assessment/progress monitoring options that are Common Core State Standard Aligned.

I have provided at least 4 weeks worth of just warm ups and main activities. That is not even including the extra activities provided in each lesson plan. You will have no problem filling 30-45 minutes with these lesson plans.
