Do you have difficulty finding a motivating tool to track your students math fact progress? I did! I used ice cream cones, cars on a track - just about everything. Those things were great but either took a lot of space (for an awesome track) or lots of paper (geez my kids had a lot of scoops on their cones!). Well, this fits the bill for me and I hope it will for you, too!
This little tool can be used to track the math fact progress of anything from number recognition and writing to addition, subtraction, doubles, multiplication and so on!
A bulletin board title and task card are included (I'm using my class door) and 3 different gumball machines to fit your needs.
I am writing student numbers on the blank gumballs so I can use this over and over each year. When students pass the fact associated with the machine they'll fill in the gumball with a color. Students can either cut a gumball from colored paper once the face is passed or use a colored circle sticker. When the whole class fills the machine - they'll get a sweet treat!
Kids do know fruit is a sweet treat, right? :)
