The original creator of this game is Lisa at
http://livelaughandlovetolearn.blogspot.com. She created “Add It Up” and Rachelle at http://teacherontheloose.blogspot adapted it to “Math It Up” to expand the options for subtraction, multiplication, and division. I have adapted it to fit the colors of my classroom theme and to decrease the size of the very large circles they both used. I wanted to make a smaller display than their’s, so I have made this set with 3” circles. I used a 3” circle cutter from JoAnn’s store to cut them out quickly and easily. Includes numbers 1-99.
How to use:
Display only 16-20 numbers at at time. Use velcro and change the numbers up weekly or daily, depending on how often you will be using it. Students simply pick two numbers---add, subtract, multiply, or divide them, and then record their answers on the recording sheet. They repeat this over and over. A picture from Lisa's blog is included in the preview to show you an example.
I use the recording sheet that Rachelle has provided. You can get it for “Free” here:
She also has task headers too, if you would like to use them! I do not use the task headers on mine!
This makes a great math center that can be used year after year!
