Product Description
This resource consists of 30 task cards for practicing multi-digit multiplication using real world situations involving some money as well as other scenarios. All problems are aligned with Common Core standards and will provide students the authentic practice they need to master this skill.

AS A BONUS THIS RESOURCE IS ALSO IN MINI FORMAT FOR ECONOMICAL PRINTING IF PAPER IS AN ISSUE:)

To address the issue of differentiation, there are word problems with variations in difficulty , however they still meet the criteria for mastering this skill.

This type of resource is a convenient way to provide prescriptive practice for all learners.

An answer key is provided in 2 formats:
*a traditional one-sheet document for ease in grading student work
*in task card format if you prefer that students have an opportunity to self- check their work

ACCOUNTABILITY is also addressed through the use of a student answer document correlated to the activity. This will provide you with a visual concrete tool when you want to evaluate the progress a student is making. These are especially useful for inspiring students to be self-starters because they are aware that an accountability piece is in place to present to the teacher.

These examples of a student's progress can also be used as portfolio pieces or as examples to use when having parent teacher conferences.

TASK CARDS CAN BE GREAT RESOURCES FOR:
math centers
small collaborative learning groups
enrichment for GT students
meaningful engagement for early finishers
math journal work
transitions during break time
whole group lessons on white board
assessment pieces

You can never have too many meaningful activities that provide academic engagement as well as an additional component to extinguish negative behavior that can develop in idle brains!:)
