Welcome to Classroom Inspirations. I hope you will enjoy my Math Journal activities. Please visit my blog at www.classroominspirations.com for unique classroom décor, inspiring lesson plans & more.
Math Journals can be used as a daily warm-up activity or as a math center. There are five activities included. One for each day of the week!
• Fraction Action
• One and Done
• Wipe Out
• Broken Calculator
• Guess My Number
• Plus a Marvelous Math Vocabulary Glossary
The cool thing about this math journal is that the same pages may be copied for the whole nine weeks or year and are provided in both black and white and in color. Each day you tell the students what number to start with and the requirements so that the activity changes each time. This makes it really simple to differentiate and easy to prepare! Also, each time a new skill is taught, it can also be incorporated into the activities.
Even though you may not be teaching the specific skills addressed in the activities, students will benefits from the repeated exposure and review. The activities can be used with multiple grade levels because you are the one that determines the starting number and requirements for each activity.
Directions and multiple suggestions for each activity are included.
