Description
In this Comparing Numbers Math Journal packet, the following skills are covered:
One More & One Less
Ten More & Ten Less
Greater Than / Less Than / Equal To
Ordering 3 Numbers (least to greatest & greatest to least)
My Math Journal packets each cover a different set of skills. The following Math Journal packets are now available with more to come soon:
Number Sense
Data & Graphing
Addition & Subtraction Strategies to 10
Place Value
Addition & Subtraction Strategies to 20
Money
Comparing Numbers
Time
Geometry & Fractions
Each Math Journal packet contains daily math problems – at least 35 in each packet, which is enough to keep your students busy for 7+ weeks. I designed these journals to work 2 ways, depending on your preference and how you desire to use them in your classroom.
Option 1: Cut math journal problems into small strips (5 per page) and have students paste them into a composition notebook, spiral bound notebook, or similar.
Option 2: Copy a week’s worth of math journal problems back to back, cut into thirds (there are 3 on each page to save paper), then staple into booklets.
I hope you enjoy the flexibility these options give you!
These Math Journals follow 1st grade curriculum standards; however they would also work for Kindergarten or 2nd grade, depending on the needs of your students. You can use them along with your curriculum or for spiral review.
