I teach an intensive support program class for students with autism. I have laminated these mats and students use them as tools for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. I have provided the mats in white or 6 colour copies. Colour coding ownership is an important accommodation. When laminated, you can use dry erase pens to track equations on the number line, circle products on the multiplication table and do addition and subtraction sentences using the hundreds chart. There is space in the middle for students to record or track their thinking. I have a series of mats for other subject areas that I will be releasing soon.
