The packet uses a coordinate plane, along with coordinate pairs, to help students create maps with specific instructions that teach and reinforce map skills, such as landforms, map keys, symbols, etc.
There are two maps for students to create. Each of the two includes a map outline on a grid, a set of instructions, and a key for the teacher.
A third map is a student-generated one. It requires the students to create both a map and its instructions for a classmate to use to create that student’s country map.
Your student will have fun while learning and reinforcing an understanding of coordinate pairs and of map skills.
