Decimal Computation - Elapsed Time - Planning on a Budget - Reasonableness & Estimating

Student's take on the planning of Thanksgiving dinner. It starts out with a reading story about how traditional Thanksgiving meals take place.

Students will plan their feasts starting with a guest list. They are allowed to invite who they want. However, this can get tricky when it comes to planning how much food to buy for recipes and also making sure that everyone will have food to eat. Lastly, students will plan their timeline while thinking about elapsed time as well.

Students will then go through grocery fliers to figure out how much each item costs and adjust based on of how many they need for correct servings.

This resource comes with the story, planning pages, structured graphic organizers, recipe cards and grocery fliers that have all of the items listed in the recipes.
