This self-checking Math Mountain (aka number bond) activity is great for small group practice or as a center activity. Each set includes color-coded math mountains on one side and color-coded fact families on the other. The smaller numbers are color coded to make up the larger number (so blue 3 and yellow 4 would combine to make a green 7.) Student can also use these color guides when flipping to the back and making up the fact family that goes with that mountain.
I split them into 3 leveled documents: yellow red and orange make sums to 6; blue yellow and green make sums from 5-12, and red blue and purple split higher numbers into tens and ones (85=80+5)
This activity is easy to make and use! Just print double-sided, laminate, and you are ready to go. My kids love filling them in with dry erase markers!
