Each student receives a copy of this page, along with a handful of stickers. (This is a great way to get rid of those random stickers you have lying around your desk!) I then tell students that they can draw up to 12 groups on their paper. Once they have outlined how many groups they want, they should distribute the stickers evenly to each group. (Any remainders that don't fit equally into the groups they can take home.) Students then complete the number sentence and equation to reflect their finished project!
As you can see in the preview, some students make very simple representations while others really get creative with the art! My students LOVE this simple, hands-on activity and it's great to showcase in the hallway!
