Kids love scavenger hunts! I love to use them when we simply need a break from our routine, a quick sub fill-in activity, or have a little extra time on our hands.
For this hunt, all that is needed is old newspapers and/or newspaper inserts, scissors, glue sticks, and the provided handout. Students are asked to find various numbers including percents, fractions, decimals, weights, and times.
This would also be great in a math center. Fun end-of-year activity as well.
I like to award prizes to the students with the most number correct and/or the first one to finish. The kids love it!
