These notes address Virginia Math SOL 5.2a and 5.2b. Students will examine number lines from 0-1 showing halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, eighths, ninths, tenths, and twelfths. After color coding equivalent fractions, students will write decimal equivalents for fractions in simplest form.
