It is very easy for students to use the wrong order of operations when evaluating an equation, which will result in the incorrect answer. These Order of Operations Task Cards makes the student focus on using the correct operator order - and the task cards can be used in a fun way to liven up the lesson or the revision process. There are also PEMDAS anchor cards included in the pack, which can be provided to the students, to help the student remember the correct order of operations.
You will receive 40 Order of Operations Task Cards of varying difficulty. Each task card has 1 equation on it and it tests the student’s knowledge on the correct order of operations. There are also two different versions of PEMDAS anchor cards and the student answer sheet. The answer key is provided in two formats with either the answer only per card number, or the detailed answer showing the steps (in the correct order of operations) to working out the answer.
The task cards can be used either individually by students, or in groups, or as part of a scavenger hunt.
The Order of Operations math task cards can easily be printed either on paper or card-stock and they can be laminate if you will be using them over and over again. Simply cut along the cutting guidelines and the cards are ready to use. Print enough student answer sheets to provide one answer sheet for each student.
