Description

This math performance task tackles the real-world use of decimals and percentages by having students learn to calculate the bill for a (fictional) pizza party they are throwing for themselves at a (fictional) pizza restaurant. This task covers 5th and 6th grade math CCSS standards.

This download includes:
1. Directions with the order sheet
2. Guiding questions
3. The menu for "Pizza Haven"

This performance task can also be used as a math center, formative/summative assessment, or end-of-unit culminating project. The percents can be adjusted for different grade levels.

My students LOVED this activity. They enjoyed picking out their own food items then choosing what friends they would go out to eat with. It was a great performance task to end our percent unit.
