Looking for a way to quick check your students using CCSS math tasks? Plus keep assessment data easily at hand? These Practice Plans-on-a-Page are the perfect product to do just that! I make students their own Practice Plan books at the beginning of the year and we work through one page a week.
I use these at the beginning of my math block but they would also work great as a morning work option or even weekly homework. As students work, I circulate and record notes and student names that will help me flexibly group students during math small group time. The assessment recording sheets double as answer keys and have room for you to record assessment information. I bind my own assessment book at the beginning of the year so I can use it as I circulate and refer back to it after summative assessments or during PLC meetings.
The math tasks and story problems are developed with all 1st grade Common Core Standards in mind. They were designed with a progression in mind but, seeing how curriculum differs from district to district, feel free to arrange them in the order that best fits your sequence.
