Studies have shown that pre-reading mathematics texts can help empower students to take control of their own learning and to really embrace mathematics! These sticky notes are an excellent way to silently guide your students through a pre-read of any math text (textbook, worksheet, notes, etc.). Empower your students to take control of their learning by asking questions that guide their understanding and inform their learning.
Use this resource to print onto 3x3 sticky notes! How do you use the adorable sticky notes after you have printed them? You can:
--Have students pre-read a math worksheet, textbook, or notes page, using the sticky notes to guide their reading.
--Have students place their sticky notes on posters/the whiteboard at the front of the class and discuss their responses together!
I recommend printing a few sheets of these notes and putting them into a binder or on a clipboard to have as you walk around the room! They are a great tool to help keep your class on track and to encourage hard workers!
There are TEN adorable sticky note templates included! This download is a .pdf file.
