These checklists are a tool that can be given to your students when completing problem solving questions. This can be used as a teaching tool and/or differentiation tool for those who need extra support when working through math problems. These five steps break down and supports the student through each component of a math problem.
You will find 2 separate checklists, one more simplified meant for younger ages and one more involved to support older students.
*Bonus- this can be used as a direct support for students with math word problem goals on an IEP, as this can be a specific accommodation provided!
