Your town has decided to use an empty lot to build a park. You have been hired to draw up the plans! That means that you must design the layout of the park. There are specific requirements that must be followed. You will use your creativity and your knowledge of area and perimeter to complete this project. This is a big task and the town’s mayor has chosen you to complete it. Good luck!
Decide on the equipment, fields, and extras that you would like in your park. Decide on the quantity for each one.
You must have at least 4 different types of equipment.
You must have at least 1 sports field.
You must have 2 restrooms and 1 snack stand.
Draw the layout or blueprint of your park.
Give your park a name. Label the equipment, fields and extras.
Complete the area and perimeter worksheet.
