Give your students the COOLEST interactive mathematical properties vocabulary lesson ever! Students love the structure of file folders, and what better way to get their definitions and examples organized than this fun, interactive sort?
Properties covered: commutative, associative, distributive, identity, inverse and equality. I also included a couple of extra blank cards so you can print as many of these as you need to add properties to your lesson that I may not have covered in this printable.
Print the file folders on yellow card stock for an authentic look and feel. Print the definitions and examples page on paper. Students can cut everything out, sort the cards into the correct file folder, and glue them into their notes. During review, students can "open their file folders" and close them when they can identify the correct property. Great for partner work.
