Math Pyramid Build - Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication & Division
This is an idea that I have seen on the internet in several places. It is a fun way for students to practice the math facts.
This is a download for the labels for the Pringles containers.
You can use the large Pringle container, or if you trim the paper you can use the small container.
The small works for me. It just depends how many cups you want to put int he container.
Once you gather the Pringles containers you will need bathroom sized paper cups for the math facts.
Write the fact on the bottom and the answer on the inside.
Build a pyramid using as many cups as possible.
Challenge yourself to build a bigger pyramid each time.
Use all of the cups to build a pyramid.
Take the cups out of the container.
Place the cups in a stack.
Take a cup from the top of the stack.
Read the fact on the cup.
Solve & say the answer.
Check under the cup to see if you are correct.
If you are correct use the cup to build your pyramid.
If you are incorrect put the cup back in the container.
