PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

As a math teacher, I am always trying to find a way to incorporate reading into my math lessons. My 4th graders were having a hard time differentiating between the numerator and denominator so I created this read aloud to help students remember. I hope you and your students enjoy this as much as my kids did. I created a copy of this story and had enough for every student to have a copy. We changed the actors out to give every child a chance to read throughout the weeks we studied fractions. You may also use this story for a small group.

I revised this item on February 2, 2014. This new and improved version comes with a pre-test and post test, 4 task cards, numerator verses denominator true/false worksheet, numerator and denominator sort, numerator and denominator coloring sheet, and 2 posters. I also added illustrations so students can visualize the characters.

This item may be used for interventions if needed.

Thank you so much for looking.
