Purpose: To be used as a mathematical practice or review tool for students independently or during whole group guided practice and partner practice.
The skill sets included are: Borrowing subtraction, carrying addition, place value in standard and expanded form, greater than less than, sequencing #'s, time, multiplication, division, fractions, comparing fractions, and 3-D figures.
There are logical, short steps that students will be able to independently utilize thereby building autonomy and self-confidence while completing assignments.
Best Practices: Place each page in a clear sheet protector and organize them into a 3 ring notebook, this will enable students to work with whiteboard markers without displacing the tools. The teacher will initially need to familiarize students with the steps of each skill for this to become an effective strategy.
These pages can be "snipped" and pasted in the Promethean and or Smartboard application, for a more enriched interactive experience.
