Daily spiral review is a great way to engage students in the first 5 minutes of math class! All spirals are aligned to the CCLS and provide a review of essential skills needed for sixth grade.
*Entire Year will be available soon!
How I Use This Product:
-Print and bind all pages to use for 4 weeks of warm-ups
-Project daily spiral on the board, if possible
-Students independently complete in pencil while teacher monitors and assists where needed
-Invite students to model their work and correct as a whole group
-All students correct their work using a colored pen.
-Students track their data at the bottom and on their monthly data page.
What's a Key Statement?
-As we correct questions, students write down their take-aways or things they want to remember to help them with similar questions. This may include specific vocabulary or hints! *Model, Model, Model so students know what a good Key Statement is!
How I Use Mental Math:
-Write 4 problems on the board or verbally share 4 problems with the class. This should be quick facts you want your students to know! (For example, multiplication, division, simplifying fractions, etc...)
