January 2015 UPDATE - I have updated this product to fit more what I need in my classroom. It gives more daily feedback and work area for the students to use. This gives me a better idea of where all my students are in the content. It also makes them more accountable to the work requirements each day.
Updated 7/30/2016 as an editable Publisher Doc
I love guided math and using stations with my 4th graders. This time allows me to genuinely know where each student is with the content and am able differentiate constantly.
I was struggling with what to grade and how to check all of their work. This sheet has allowed me to put that responsibility piece back on the students. They take more ownership in their station time now that they are accountable for the work they complete in that time.
In my classroom I use and love Engage NY. I have found however that the lessons as they read can seem limited in regards to small group and differentiation. After using the curriculum for a year and really making it my own I have found a way to incorporate stations using the curriculum and shaping it around my classroom needs.
With this product students write the lesson objective and use the work area to have accountability during warm up and station time. They then reflect on their work for the day using the Personal reflection. This has given me the feedback I need when my students are working independently.
This is a general work page that can be used with all Engage Lessons at many grade levels. I am also creating lesson specific pages for teachers that want more guidance on implementing stations with the engage curriculum. Please look for them coming soon in my store.
I know this can be useful to you and your classroom. For more information about how I use guided math stations with the engage ny curriculum along with other resources I have found please visit my blog
