Product Description
Over 30 real life problems.
Cute director/actor theme. Students must PROVE that they are math all stars.

Get your students ready for testing, review concepts, or just strengthen Common core thinking/problem solving skills. These pages can be displayed on an interactive white board or printed for students/small groups. These are a great way to enhance critical thinking skills.

These math situations/problems can be used in many ways. You can use them as a problem of the day/week, homework, small group, whole group, etc. These are a great way to spark math conversations and get students talking and writing mathematically.
These math scenarios are a great way to check for understanding and mastery. Teachers are quickly able to see if students are able to apply learning to new situations.
Each page reviews a skill. Students must first look at Director Dave’s statement. They must decide if he is correct/incorrect or is they agree/disagree. Then they must prove why they think the way they do. This involves reasoning and problem solving skills.
Topics covered match common core standards in the areas of number sense, rounding, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, elapsed time, fractions, and much more!

I have also included a blank page. You can write in your own Director Dave statement or you can have the students or small groups design their own. So many possibilities! This was designed for a 3rd grade class, but can also be used to introduce concepts in 2nd and review 4th.
