Each Task Card Product has 20 task cards, teacher notes, and answer sheet. The task cards were made for a third grade class however, a second or fourth grade class could use them.
Task Cards are perfect to use in workstations or when students finish early. You can have students leave answers on the task cards and then bring to you to insure they understand the material.
Task Cards included in the bundle:
-Addition & Subtraction Task Cards:
Adding and subtracting using number lines, hundreds chart, rounding, and part-part-whole.
Adding and subtracting using concrete models, such as Base 10 models.
Adding and subtracting with two, three, four, five, and six digit numbers.
-Fraction Task Cards
Number, operation, and quantitative reasoning. The student uses fraction names and symbols (with denominators of 12 or less) to describe fractional parts of whole objects or sets of objects. The student is expected to:
(A) construct concrete models of fractions
(B) compare fractional parts of whole objects or sets of objects in a problem situation using concrete models
(C) use fraction names and symbols to describe fractional parts of whole objects or sets of objects
(D) construct concrete models of equivalent fractions for fractional parts of whole objects
-Number Sense Task Cards
Count, read, and write whole numbers to 10,000.
Compare and order whole numbers.
Identify the place value for each digit in numbers to 10,000.
Round off numbers to 10,000 to the nearest ten, hundred, and thousand.
Use expanded notation to represent numbers (e.g., 3,206 = 3,000 + 200 + 6).
Find the sum or difference of two whole numbers between 0 and 10,000.
-Place Value Task Cards
Students use base-ten blocks and place value charts to describe place value in numbers up to 999,999. Standard form, expanded notation, word form, and the value of each digit will be investigated.
Students compare and order whole numbers through 9,999 using multiple representations including: pictorial representations, place value charts, number lines, symbols, and words.
Students use estimation strategies such as rounding to facilitate the operations of addition and subtraction.
Students use base-ten blocks to model addition and subtraction with numbers through 999.
